Why You’ll Love This Recipe:

  • Uses a whole orange for full citrus flavor

  • Incredibly moist and tender, with minimal prep

  • A quick one-bowl + blender cake

  • Just-right sweetness and beautiful golden color

  • No butter, dairy-free, and pantry-friendly!

Ingredients

  • 1 large seedless orange, well washed (peel included)

  • 3 large eggs

  • 1 cup (240 ml) vegetable oil

  • 1½ cups (300 g) sugar

  • 2 cups (240 g) all-purpose flour

  • 1 tbsp baking powder

  • Pinch of salt

‍ Instructions

1️⃣ Prep the Oven & Pan

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
Grease and flour a round or bundt cake pan.

2️⃣ Blend the Wet Ingredients

Cut the orange into chunks.
If the orange has seeds, remove them. If the peel is thick and bitter, consider removing half of it.
In a blender, combine orange pieces, eggs, vegetable oil, and sugar.
Blend until smooth and creamy.

3️⃣ Combine with Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
Pour in the blended orange mixture and mix just until fully incorporated.

4️⃣ Bake

Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 35–45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

5️⃣ Cool & Serve

Allow to cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Once cooled, slice and serve with tea or coffee — or dust with powdered sugar for a sweet finish.
