Description

A bold and creamy Cajun Honey BBQ Chicken Bacon Pasta made in just one pot! This easy 30-minute dinner combines tender chicken, crispy bacon, pasta, and a rich BBQ cream sauce for the ultimate comfort food. Perfect for busy weeknights with a spicy-sweet kick.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

  • 8 oz pasta (penne or rotini works well)

  • 4 slices of bacon, chopped

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • 1/4 cup BBQ sauce

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add chopped bacon and cook until crispy (about 5-7 minutes). Remove bacon and set aside, leaving some bacon grease in the pan.

  • Add chicken to the skillet; season with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for 6-8 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside with bacon.

  • In the same skillet, whisk together BBQ sauce, honey, chicken broth, and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.

  • Stir in Parmesan cheese; cook another 2 minutes until sauce is creamy and smooth.

  • Add cooked pasta, chicken, and bacon back into skillet. Toss to coat in the sauce.

  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Adjust Cajun seasoning to taste if you prefer less heat.
✅ Swap Parmesan for another hard cheese like Pecorino Romano for variation.
✅ Use rotisserie chicken for an even quicker meal prep.
