Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 170°C (340°F). Grease and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
- Prepare Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Set aside.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk oil, brown sugar, and eggs until smooth. Add milk, vanilla extract, and honey if using. Mix until well combined.
- Combine Mixtures: Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Add the chopped apples and walnuts, and stir until evenly distributed — do not overmix.
- Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Sprinkle a few chopped walnuts on top for crunch. Bake for 55–65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
