Burrata:
- 8 oz (225 g) burrata cheese
Walnut Crunch:
- 1/3 cup walnuts, roughly chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Pinch of flaky sea salt
- Fresh cracked black pepper, to taste
Hot Honey:
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1/4–1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes (adjust to taste)
For Serving:
- Small baguette or crostini, sliced and toasted
- Optional: fresh thyme leaves or basil for garnish
Instructions
- Toast the Walnuts: Heat a dry skillet over medium heat. Add chopped walnuts and toast for 3–4 minutes, stirring frequently, until fragrant and lightly golden. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Prepare the Hot Honey: In a small bowl, mix honey with red chili flakes. Let sit for a few minutes to infuse heat.
- Plate the Burrata: Place burrata in the center of a serving plate. Gently slice into the top to allow the creamy interior to slightly spill out.
- Add Crunch & Drizzle: Sprinkle toasted walnuts over and around the burrata. Drizzle with olive oil and hot honey. Finish with flaky sea salt and cracked black pepper.
