This upgraded Cheese Tortellini Bake is an ultra-comforting, family-style pasta dish layered with marinara, melty mozzarella, and Parmesan. Enhanced with Italian herbs and baked to bubbly perfection, it’s perfect for cozy dinners, potlucks, or easy weeknight meals.
Ingredients
2 (20 oz) packages of refrigerated cheese tortellini
• 1 (24 oz) jar of marinara sauce
• 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
• 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
• 1 tsp dried oregano
• 1 tsp dried basil
• Salt and pepper, to taste
• Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
Instructions

Preheat Oven:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. -
Cook Tortellini:
Cook tortellini according to package instructions until just al dente. Drain and return to the pot. -
Combine Ingredients:
Stir in marinara sauce, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, and half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. -
Assemble the Bake:
Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Spread evenly and top with the remaining cheeses. -
Bake Covered:
Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. -
Bake Uncovered:
Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden. -
Garnish and Serve:
Let cool slightly. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve warm.
Notes
Swap marinara with spicy arrabbiata or creamy tomato for variety.
