Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 2 steaks (sirloin or ribeye)

  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 1/4 cup sour cream

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat to 400°F (200°C).

  • Cook Potatoes: Boil cubed potatoes in salted water for 10 minutes until tender. Drain and return to pot.

  • Mash Potatoes: Mash with butter, heavy cream, sour cream, and half the cheddar cheese. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.

  • Cook Chicken & Steak: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high. Season chicken and steak with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook chicken 5–6 minutes per side until cooked through. Cook steak 4–5 minutes per side for medium-rare or to desired doneness.

  • Assemble Bake: Spread mashed potatoes in a baking dish. Place cooked chicken and steak on top. Sprinkle with remaining cheddar and Parmesan cheese.

  • Bake: Bake for 10 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.

  • Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra garlic flavor, add roasted garlic to the mashed potatoes.

  • Substitute steak with pork chops or extra chicken if preferred.

  • Great for make-ahead meals—just reheat before serving.
