An easy, individual take on the classic Italian dessert, featuring layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers and mascarpone cream.

For the Mascarpone Cream:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz mascarpone cheese
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Coffee Layer:
- 1 cup brewed espresso or strong coffee, cooled
- 2 tbsp coffee liqueur (optional)
For Assembly:
- 12 ladyfingers, cut in half
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- Chocolate shavings for garnish

Make the Mascarpone Cream:
- Beat heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- In another bowl, mix mascarpone, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Fold whipped cream into mascarpone mixture.

Prepare the Coffee Layer:
- Mix espresso and liqueur (if using).

Assemble:
- Dip ladyfingers in coffee and layer in cups.
- Spoon mascarpone cream over them. Repeat layers.
- Dust with cocoa powder and top with chocolate shavings.

Chill & Serve:
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
- Substitute ladyfingers with sponge cake if needed.
- Use decaf coffee for a caffeine-free version.
