Description

This Classic Tiramisu is a rich, creamy Italian dessert made with layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers and mascarpone cream, dusted with cocoa powder for the perfect finishing touch.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 3 tbsp coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream, whipped
  • 24 ladyfingers
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder

Instructions

  • Mix brewed coffee with coffee liqueur and set aside.
  • In a bowl, whisk egg yolks and sugar over a double boiler until thick. Let cool.
  • Fold in mascarpone cheese, then gently fold in whipped cream.
  • Dip ladyfingers in the coffee mixture and layer them in a dish. Spread half the mascarpone mixture over them. Repeat layers.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Dust with cocoa powder before serving.
