Ingredients
-
1 cup (227g) whole milk, cold
-
1/2 cup (99g) granulated sugar
-
2 cups (454g) heavy cream or whipping cream, cold
-
1 teaspoon Vanilla Bean Crush (or vanilla extract)
-
15 to 20 (170g to 255g) chocolate sandwich cookies, broken into chunks
Instructions
-
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the cold milk and sugar until the sugar dissolves completely.
-
Stir in the heavy cream and vanilla.
-
Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 1 hour for best results.
-
Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
-
Once the ice cream reaches a soft-serve consistency, stir in the broken cookie pieces.
-
Serve immediately for a soft texture, or transfer to a lidded container and freeze for 2–3 hours for a firmer consistency.
-
If frozen longer, allow the ice cream to sit at room temperature for 15–20 minutes before scooping
Notes
-
Use high-quality chocolate sandwich cookies for the best flavor.
-
For extra cookie crunch, reserve a handful of cookie chunks to press into the top after freezing.
-
Store ice cream in a tightly sealed container to prevent freezer burn.
