For the Chicken
- 1 1/2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
For the Garlic Parmesan Cream Sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme or Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter

- Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Season chicken: Season chicken with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
- Sear chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 5–7 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Prepare sauce: Reduce heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic to the skillet, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom. Add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, Dijon mustard, and thyme. Stir continuously until sauce thickens slightly, about 3–4 minutes.
- Combine and simmer: Return chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over the top. Simmer for 2–3 minutes to heat through and coat the chicken.
- Adjust seasoning: Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.
- Garnish and serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately, optionally with rice, pasta, or roasted vegetables.
