Description

This Creamy Garlic Shrimp Pasta is a restaurant-style dish that you can easily make at home. Juicy, pan-seared shrimp are tossed in a rich garlic Parmesan sauce with tender pasta for an irresistible meal.

Ingredients

Units Scale

  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  • Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, and Italian seasoning.
  • Add the cooked pasta and shrimp back into the sauce. Toss to coat evenly.
  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a splash of white wine before adding the cream.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for a smoother sauce.
  • If the sauce gets too thick, add a little pasta water to loosen it.
