Description

This Crispy Chicken Parmesan is golden, crunchy, and topped with marinara sauce and gooey melted mozzarella. It’s the perfect combination of crispy breaded chicken and rich Italian flavors, served over pasta or with a side salad for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts (halved lengthwise)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs (beaten)
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil (for garnish)

 

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Set to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare breading: Place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning in a third.
  3. Bread the chicken: Dredge each piece in flour, dip in eggs, then coat with breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Cook the chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Add sauce & cheese: Transfer chicken to a baking dish, top with marinara sauce and mozzarella.
  6. Bake: Bake for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Garnish & serve: Sprinkle with fresh basil and serve hot!

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, bake on a wire rack.
  • Serve with pasta, garlic bread, or a fresh salad.
