Description

This Decadent Texas Chocolate Pecan Pie is the ultimate Southern dessert—sweet, gooey, and loaded with crunchy pecans and rich chocolate chips. With a flaky crust and a classic caramel-like filling, this pie is perfect for holidays, gatherings, or whenever you’re craving comfort in a slice.

Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made pie crust (or homemade)

  • 1 cup light corn syrup

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 3 large eggs

  • 1 cup pecans, roughly chopped

  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • In a large bowl, whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and eggs until smooth.

  • Stir in chopped pecans, chocolate chips, and salt. Mix evenly.

  • Pour filling into prepared pie crust. Spread evenly and gently tap to settle.

  • Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the filling is set and golden.

  • Let pie cool completely before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For added texture, use a mix of chopped and whole pecans on top.

  • Serve warm with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

  • Can be made a day ahead and stored at room temperature.
