Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×9-inch or deep 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper. -
Make the Brownie Batter:
In a large bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar until glossy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
In another bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
Gradually fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
Fold in chocolate chips and optional toppings like nuts or marshmallows. -
Spread and Level:
Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Sprinkle extra toppings if desired. -
Bake:
Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted 2 inches from the edge comes out with moist crumbs. -
Cool and Slice:
Let cool completely in the pan for at least 1 hour. Lift out using parchment and slice with a warm knife. -
Serve and Enjoy:
Enjoy these brownies warm with ice cream or a drizzle of hot fudge for the ultimate dessert.
Notes
-
Avoid overmixing to keep brownies tender.
-
For a gooey center, slightly underbake and chill briefly before slicing.
-
