Description

This Garlic Steak & Cheese-Filled Tortellini Skillet is a hearty, one-pan meal packed with juicy seared steak, cheesy tortellini, and a rich, creamy garlic-Parmesan sauce. It’s quick, indulgent, and perfect for busy weeknights or special dinners.

Ingredients

For the Steak:

  • 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-sized pieces

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

For the Tortellini:

  • 18 oz refrigerated cheese tortellini

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 cup baby spinach (optional)

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

  • Fresh chopped parsley or basil, for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook Tortellini: Boil tortellini per package instructions, then drain and set aside.

  • Sear the Steak: In a hot skillet with olive oil, season steak with salt and pepper. Sear for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove from pan.

  • Make the Sauce: Add butter and garlic to the same skillet. Sauté for 1 minute. Pour in chicken broth to deglaze, then stir in heavy cream.

  • Add Cheese and Steak: Stir in Parmesan cheese until sauce is creamy. Return steak to the skillet and fold in spinach, if using.

  • Combine and Simmer: Add cooked tortellini and gently toss to coat in sauce. Simmer for 1–2 minutes.

  • Garnish: Top with fresh herbs and red pepper flakes, if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Use high-quality steak for best flavor.

  • Swap spinach with kale or arugula for variation.

  • Add mushrooms or sun-dried tomatoes for extra depth.
