Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Beef:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon

For the Minted Feta Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/3 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh mint, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small garlic clove, minced
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

For Assembling:

  • 4 large pita breads or flatbreads
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced cucumber
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion

Instructions

  1. Cook the beef: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté 30 seconds. Add ground beef, oregano, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook 6–8 minutes, breaking it apart, until browned and cooked through. Stir in lemon juice and remove from heat.
  2. Make the minted feta sauce: In a bowl, whisk together Greek yogurt, feta, mint, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper until creamy. Adjust seasoning as needed.
  3. Warm the pitas: Heat pita breads in a dry skillet for 30–60 seconds per side or warm in the oven for a few minutes.
  4. Assemble wraps: Spread a generous spoonful of minted feta sauce down the center of each pita. Add cooked beef, lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, and red onion.
  5. Wrap & serve: Fold tightly into wraps and serve immediately. Optional: drizzle extra minted feta sauce over the top for extra flavor.
