For the Chicken
- 1 1/2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs

- 1 teaspoon dried oregano

- Juice of 1 lemon
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
For the Spicy Garlic Yogurt Sauce
- 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 small garlic clove, minced or grated
- 1–2 teaspoons hot sauce (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- 1–2 tablespoons warm water (to thin if needed)
For the Wrap Assembly
- 4–6 pita breads or flatbreads
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cucumber, diced
- 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate the Chicken – In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, smoked paprika, oregano, crushed red pepper flakes, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken and coat evenly. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, up to 2 hours for best flavor.
- Cook the Chicken – Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 5–7 minutes per side until fully cooked. Rest for 5 minutes, then slice into thin strips.
- Make the Spicy Garlic Yogurt Sauce – In a small bowl, combine Greek yogurt, garlic, hot sauce, lemon juice, crushed red pepper flakes, and salt. Whisk until smooth. Add warm water gradually for desired consistency.
- Assemble the Wraps – Warm pita breads, spread yogurt sauce, add chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, onion. Garnish with parsley and more sauce. Fold or roll and serve.
