Description

Indulge in an elegant seafood experience with Grilled Lobster Tails served alongside a luscious Creamy Garlic Butter Sauce. Perfectly grilled and seasoned, these lobster tails are easy enough for a weeknight yet luxurious enough for special occasions or romantic dinners.

Ingredients

For the Lobster Tails:

  • 2 lobster tails (4-6 oz each)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

For the Creamy Garlic Butter Sauce:

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)

  • Salt and white pepper, to taste

Equipment:

  • Grill or grill pan

  • Small saucepan

Instructions

  • Prepare the Lobster Tails:

    • Using kitchen shears, cut down the center of the top shell of each lobster tail, stopping before the tail fin.

    • Gently pull the shell apart and loosen the meat, keeping it attached at the base. Lift the meat and rest it on top of the shell.

    • Optionally butterfly the lobster meat further with a shallow cut down the center.

    • Brush meat with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

  • Grill the Lobster Tails:

    • Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high.

    • Place lobster tails meat-side down and grill for 4–5 minutes.

    • Flip and cook shell-side down for another 4–6 minutes, until opaque and slightly charred.

  • Make the Creamy Garlic Butter Sauce:

    • In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.

    • Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

    • Stir in heavy cream, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes (if using).

    • Simmer gently for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened. Season with salt and white pepper to taste.

  • Serve:

    • Plate the grilled lobster tails and drizzle with the garlic butter sauce.

    • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

  • For extra decadence, sprinkle with grated Parmesan or serve over pasta or mashed potatoes.

  • Be careful not to overcook the lobster; it should be firm, opaque, and juicy.
