Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
For the Creamy Garlic Butter Sauce:
-
4 tbsp unsalted butter
-
2-3 cloves garlic, minced
-
1/4 cup heavy cream
-
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
-
Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
-
Salt and white pepper, to taste
Equipment:
-
Grill or grill pan
-
Small saucepan
Instructions
-
Prepare the Lobster Tails:
-
Using kitchen shears, cut down the center of the top shell of each lobster tail, stopping before the tail fin.
-
Gently pull the shell apart and loosen the meat, keeping it attached at the base. Lift the meat and rest it on top of the shell.
-
Optionally butterfly the lobster meat further with a shallow cut down the center.
-
Brush meat with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
-
-
Grill the Lobster Tails:
-
Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high.
-
Place lobster tails meat-side down and grill for 4–5 minutes.
-
Flip and cook shell-side down for another 4–6 minutes, until opaque and slightly charred.
-
-
Make the Creamy Garlic Butter Sauce:
-
In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
-
Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
-
Stir in heavy cream, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes (if using).
-
Simmer gently for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened. Season with salt and white pepper to taste.
-
-
Serve:
-
Plate the grilled lobster tails and drizzle with the garlic butter sauce.
-
Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges if desired.
-
Notes
-
For extra decadence, sprinkle with grated Parmesan or serve over pasta or mashed potatoes.
-
Be careful not to overcook the lobster; it should be firm, opaque, and juicy.
