For the Shrimp
- 1 lb (450 g) shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
For the Sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
Garnish
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp, salt, and black pepper and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Add honey, soy sauce, chili flakes, and rice vinegar. Simmer for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return shrimp to the pan and toss to coat in the sticky glaze.
- Garnish with fresh herbs and sesame seeds.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Make sure not to overcook the shrimp to keep them tender.
- Adjust the spice level by increasing or decreasing the amount of chili flakes.
