Description

This Honey Walnut Layer Cake is a delightful combination of soft honey-flavored sponge cake and creamy walnut frosting. It’s the perfect dessert for special occasions!


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two cake pans.
  • In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
  • In another bowl, cream butter, honey, and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, then mix well.
  • Alternately add dry ingredients and buttermilk to the wet mixture.
  • Divide batter between cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes. Let cool.
  • Mix frosting ingredients, then layer and frost the cake. Top with more walnuts.
