- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup honey
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two cake pans.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
- In another bowl, cream butter, honey, and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, then mix well.
- Alternately add dry ingredients and buttermilk to the wet mixture.
- Divide batter between cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes. Let cool.
- Mix frosting ingredients, then layer and frost the cake. Top with more walnuts.
