Description

Horchata is a refreshing, creamy, cinnamon-spiced rice milk drink that’s perfect for hot days or as a sweet treat!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup white rice
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups milk (or almond milk for dairy-free)

 

  • Ice cubes for serving

Instructions

  • Rinse rice and soak in 4 cups of water with the cinnamon stick overnight.
  • Blend the rice mixture until smooth, then strain through a fine mesh sieve.
  • Stir in vanilla, sugar, and milk. Refrigerate until chilled.

 

  • Serve over ice and sprinkle with cinnamon
