For the steak:
- 1 1/2 lbs sirloin steak, cut into strips
- 4 tbsp butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
For the penne:
- 12 oz penne pasta
- 4 oz cream cheese, cubed
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 3 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the penne: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the penne until tender, then drain (reserving 1 cup of pasta water) and set aside.
- Prepare the steak: Season steak strips with Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Sear in a hot skillet with butter and garlic until cooked to your liking. Set aside.
- Make the sauce: In the same skillet, sauté garlic in butter. Add heavy cream, Cajun seasoning, cream cheese, mozzarella, and Parmesan. Stir until melted and smooth.
- Combine: Toss cooked penne in the sauce until coated. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
- Serve: Plate creamy penne, top with steak strips, drizzle with pan juices, and garnish with parsley.
