  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon (optional for warmth)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For the Wraps

  • 4 pita breads, warmed
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cucumber, diced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/3 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • Optional Yogurt Sauce

    • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
    • 1 tsp lemon juice
    • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Cook the Ground Beef – Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until fragrant. Add ground beef, oregano, cumin, paprika, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Cook 6–8 minutes, breaking up meat, until fully browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Prepare the Yogurt Sauce – In a small bowl, mix Greek yogurt, lemon juice, and garlic powder until smooth.
  3. Assemble the Pita Wraps – Spread yogurt sauce inside each warm pita (if using). Fill with cooked ground beef, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, and crumbled feta. Sprinkle with parsley.
  4. Serve – Fold wraps and serve immediately as a hearty Mediterranean meal.
