Description

These Mini Apple Pies are the perfect bite-sized twist on a classic dessert! Filled with cinnamon-spiced apples and baked in flaky, golden crusts, they’re ideal for parties, holidays, or whenever you want a quick, comforting treat. A delightful go-to for lovers of apple pie desserts, miniature pies, and easy fall baking.


Ingredients

  • 1 package refrigerated pie crusts

  • 3 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and chopped

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

  • 1 tbsp butter, cut into small cubes

  • 1 egg (for egg wash)


Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Set oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Prepare Crusts: Roll out pie crusts and cut into circles large enough to fit muffin tin wells. Press gently to form cups.

  3. Make Apple Filling: In a bowl, mix chopped apples with granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Stir until coated.

  4. Fill the Pies: Spoon the apple mixture into each crust, filling about 3/4 full.

  5. Add Butter & Egg Wash: Dot tops with butter cubes. Beat the egg and brush over crust edges.

  6. Bake: Bake for 25–30 minutes until crusts are golden and filling is bubbling.

  7. Cool & Serve: Let pies cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Add a drizzle of caramel sauce for extra indulgence.

  • These can be made in advance and reheated in the oven.
