Description

This Mushroom Fettuccine Alfredo is a creamy, rich pasta dish featuring sautéed mushrooms, garlic, and a luscious Alfredo sauce. A comforting and satisfying meal!


Ingredients

  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)

 

  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook the Pasta:

    • Boil fettuccine in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Sauté the Mushrooms:

    • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add mushrooms and cook until soft.
    • Add garlic and sauté for another minute.
  • Make the Alfredo Sauce:

    • Pour in heavy cream and simmer for 2 minutes.
    • Stir in Parmesan, black pepper, and nutmeg. Let the sauce thicken.

 

  • Combine & Serve:

    • Toss cooked fettuccine in the sauce. Garnish with parsley and more Parmesan.

Notes

  • Add grilled chicken or shrimp for extra protein.
  • Use a mix of mushrooms for a more complex flavor.
