For the chicken:
- 1 whole rotisserie chicken, shredded
- 4 tbsp butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
For the bowtie Alfredo:
- 12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
- 4 oz cream cheese, cubed
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- 1/2 cup shredded provolone
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 3 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the bowtie pasta until tender with a slight bite. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
- Sear the chicken: In a skillet, melt butter, add garlic, then toss in shredded rotisserie chicken, Cajun seasoning, and smoked paprika. Remove and set aside.
- Prepare the Alfredo sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter, add garlic, pour in heavy cream, simmer, add cream cheese, then stir in mozzarella, provolone, and Parmesan until creamy.
- Combine and serve: Add cooked pasta to the sauce, toss gently, adding pasta water if needed. Serve Alfredo topped with Cajun chicken, parsley, and Parmesan.
