Description

One-Pan Chicken with Buttered Noodles is a comforting, creamy skillet meal featuring juicy seared chicken and tender egg noodles simmered in a rich garlic cream sauce. Easy to prepare and packed with flavor, this dish is perfect for busy weeknights or cozy family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 cups chicken broth

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 8 oz egg noodles

  • 3 tbsp butter

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  • Cook the Chicken:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
Cook for 5–6 minutes per side, until golden and fully cooked (internal temp 165°F/74°C). Remove and set aside.

  • Prepare the Noodles:
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
Add egg noodles, cover the skillet, and cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until noodles are tender.

  • Combine Ingredients:
Stir in butter and grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is creamy.
Return chicken to the skillet to warm through.

  • Serve:
Garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Add spinach or peas for a veggie boost.

  • Substitute chicken thighs for a juicier option.

  • Thin out the sauce with extra broth if needed.
