Ingredients

For the Peach Jam Filling:

  • 1/2 cup peach jam or preserves (store-bought or homemade)

For the Spiced Buttercream:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 3 cups powdered sugar

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1-2 tbsp milk (as needed for consistency)

For the Streusel Crumbs:

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/4 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed


Instructions

  • Make the Cupcakes:

    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.

    • In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

    • In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla.

    • Add sour cream and milk. Gradually mix in dry ingredients.

    • Divide batter among liners and bake 18–22 minutes. Cool completely.

  • Prepare the Streusel:

    • Mix flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cut in butter until crumbly.

    • Bake at 350°F for 10–12 minutes until golden. Cool and crumble.

  • Make the Buttercream:

    • Beat butter until creamy. Add powdered sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla.

    • Add milk as needed and beat until fluffy.

  • Assemble the Cupcakes:

    • Core the cooled cupcakes and fill with peach jam.

    • Pipe buttercream on top, then sprinkle with streusel crumbs.

  • Use fresh or jarred peach jam.

  • Chill buttercream briefly if too soft to pipe.
