Description

These Peanut Butter Monster Cookies are a chewy, nutty, chocolate-packed treat loaded with oats, M&Ms, and chocolate chips. Perfect for lunchboxes, bake sales, or a late-night indulgence, these cookies are a monster hit with everyone!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter

  • 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar, packed

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 teaspoons baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats

  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • 1 1/2 cups M&Ms (plus more for topping)

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter chips (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven:
Preheat to 350°F (175°C). Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.

  • Cream the Base:
In a large bowl, cream together butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (3–4 minutes).

  • Add Eggs & Vanilla:
Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until well combined (1 minute).

  • Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.

  • Fold in the Goodies:
Stir in oats, chocolate chips, M&Ms, and peanut butter chips by hand until evenly distributed.

  • Scoop & Bake:
Scoop 2-tablespoon portions of dough and place on prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart. Press a few extra M&Ms on top for a bakery-style look.

  • Bake:
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are golden but centers are still soft. Let cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

These cookies stay soft for days and freeze beautifully. You can substitute peanut butter with almond or sunflower seed butter for allergy-friendly variations.
