These Pina Colada Milkshakes are a creamy, tropical delight made with vanilla ice cream, crushed pineapple, and coconut milk—perfectly blended with optional rum for a fun twist. A refreshing summer treat that brings island vibes to your glass!
Ingredients
For the Creamy Coconut-Pineapple Base:

4 cups (about 2 pints) vanilla ice cream

1/2 cup crushed pineapple, drained

1/2 cup coconut milk

1/4 cup cream of coconut (such as Coco Real)

1/4 cup white or gold rum (optional)
For Garnishing (Optional):

2 tbsp cream of coconut (for rimming glasses)

1/4 cup unsweetened coconut flakes

Whipped cream

Maraschino cherries

Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Glasses
Pour 2 tablespoons of cream of coconut into a shallow dish.
Place coconut flakes in a separate bowl.
Dip the rims of serving glasses in cream of coconut, then in coconut flakes to coat. Set aside.
Step 2: Blend the Milkshake
In a blender, combine vanilla ice cream, crushed pineapple, coconut milk, cream of coconut, and rum (if using).
Blend on high for 30–60 seconds until smooth and thick. Add more coconut milk if needed to adjust consistency.
Step 3: Serve & Sip
Pour milkshake into prepared glasses.
Top with whipped cream, a maraschino cherry, and a pineapple wedge.
Serve immediately with a straw for the ultimate tropical treat.
Notes
For a non-alcoholic version, simply omit the rum. You can also use frozen pineapple chunks for added texture and chill.
