Instructions

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg, granulated sugar, and vanilla sugar until smooth and fully blended.

In a separate small bowl, mix cornstarch with a little water to form a smooth slurry.

Pour both mixtures into a saucepan and place over medium heat.

Stir constantly for 3–4 minutes, or until the mixture thickens into a custard-like consistency.

Remove from heat and let it cool slightly. Serve warm or chilled
