Description

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk
  • Food coloring (red, yellow, blue, green)
  • 3 cups whipped cream or buttercream frosting

 

  • Sprinkles or gumdrops for decoration

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line cake pans.
  • Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  • In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla.
  • Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk to the butter mixture.
  • Divide the batter into bowls and color each portion.
  • Pour into pans and bake for 20-25 minutes. Let cool.

 

  • Layer cakes with frosting, then decorate with sprinkles.
