Ingredients

For the Brownies:

  • 1 box fudge brownie mix

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil

  • 2 large eggs (or as directed on the box)

For the Raspberry Filling:

  • 2 cups fresh raspberries

  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

For the Creamy Layer:

  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

Instructions

  • Bake the Brownies:
Prepare the brownie mix as directed on the box using the water, oil, and eggs. Bake and let cool completely. Cut into small cubes or chunks.

  • Make the Raspberry Filling:
In a saucepan, combine raspberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until raspberries break down and mixture thickens (about 5–7 minutes). Cool to room temperature.

  • Prepare the Creamy Layer:
In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese until fully combined.

  • Assemble the Trifle:
In a trifle dish or individual glasses, layer chunks of brownie, a spoonful of raspberry filling, and a generous layer of the creamy mixture. Repeat layers until the dish is full, finishing with cream and a few fresh raspberries for garnish.

Notes

  • Can be made a day in advance; chill in fridge for deeper flavor.

  • Substitute raspberries with strawberries or mixed berries if desired.
