Description
Hearty Salisbury steak smothered in rich, creamy mushroom gravy is the ultimate comfort food dinner. Served with mashed potatoes or rice, this homemade classic is full of flavor.
Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1/3 cup breadcrumbs

1 egg

1/4 cup onion, finely chopped

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Salt & pepper to taste

2 tbsp butter

1 cup mushrooms, sliced

2 tbsp flour
-
1 1/2 cups beef broth
-
1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions

Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, Worcestershire, salt & pepper. Form into patties.

Sear patties in a skillet until browned. Remove and set aside.

In the same skillet, add butter and sauté mushrooms.

Stir in flour and cook 1 minute. Add beef broth, bring to simmer, then mix in cream.

Return steaks to pan. Simmer for 10-15 mins until cooked through and gravy thickens.
