Description

Dive into decadence with this Shrimp and Spinach with Rich and Creamy Crab Cheese Dip—a warm, savory appetizer packed with tender shrimp, crab meat, spinach, and a melty blend of cheeses. Perfect for parties, game days, or indulgent snacking with chips or toast!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped

  • 1/2 lb crab meat

  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1/2 cup fresh cream

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise

  • 1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese

  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan

  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped

  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Tortilla chips, crackers, or toast (for serving)

Instructions

  • Cook the shrimp: Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chopped shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes, or until pink. Set aside to cool.

  • Prepare the dip base: In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, fresh cream, mayonnaise, garlic, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper until smooth.

  • Add seafood and spinach: Fold in cooked shrimp, crab meat, chopped spinach, mozzarella, and parmesan. Mix until evenly combined.

  • Bake: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until hot and bubbly with a lightly golden top.

  • Serve: Let cool slightly before serving with chips, crackers, or toast.

Notes

  • Substitute fresh crab with canned if needed—just ensure it’s well-drained.

  • Can be assembled ahead of time and baked just before serving.

  • Add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
