Description

Ingredients

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened

  • 1 1/4 cups sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cup milk


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or an 8×8-inch cake pan.

  • In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, butter, and sugar together until light and fluffy.

  • Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Alternately add dry ingredients and milk to the wet mixture, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.

  • Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 45–55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  • Cool completely before slicing. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with glaze before serving.
