For the Burger Patties:

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend for juiciness)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika

For the Toppings:

 

  • 4 slices pepper jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup pickled jalapeños
  • 4 brioche burger buns
  • 2 tbsp butter (for toasting buns)
  • 4 slices tomato
  • 1/4 cup sliced onions
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the burger patties: In a bowl, mix ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Form into 4 patties.
  • Cook the patties: Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 3-4 minutes per side until browned and cooked to desired doneness.
  • Melt the cheese: Place a slice of pepper jack cheese on each patty and let it melt.
  • Toast the buns: Spread butter on the buns and toast until golden.
  • Assemble the burger: Spread mayo (mixed with hot sauce if desired) on buns, add tomato slices, onions, burger patty, and jalapeños.
