Description

This Spicy Jalapeño Chili with Biscuit Topping is a bold, flavorful dish packed with beans, ground beef, and a spicy kick from jalapeños, topped with golden biscuits.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 jalapeños, sliced
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup biscuit mix
  • 1/2 cup milk

 

  • 1 egg

Instructions

  • In a pot, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic until beef is browned.
  • Stir in beans, tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 20 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Transfer chili to a baking dish.
  • Mix biscuit mix, milk, and egg, then spoon over the chili.

 

  • Top with sliced jalapeños and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

  • Adjust jalapeños for desired spice level.
