- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 jalapeños, sliced
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup biscuit mix
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
Instructions
- In a pot, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic until beef is browned.
- Stir in beans, tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 20 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Transfer chili to a baking dish.
- Mix biscuit mix, milk, and egg, then spoon over the chili.
- Top with sliced jalapeños and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
