Description

Impress your guests with these elegant Strawberry Puff Pastry Hearts! Made with flaky puff pastry, fresh strawberries, whipped cream, and a touch of dark chocolate, this easy dessert is perfect for Valentine’s Day, special occasions, or sweet indulgences.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar, plus extra for dusting

  • 1 egg, beaten with 1 tablespoon water (egg wash)

  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

  • Fresh strawberries, sliced

  • 4 oz dark chocolate, melted for drizzling

  • 1 package (17.3 oz) frozen puff pastry sheets, thawed

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Roll out thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut out heart shapes using a cookie cutter (6-8 hearts).

  • Brush each heart with egg wash and arrange on the baking sheet.

  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, until puffed and golden. Cool slightly.

  • Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.

  • Slice each heart horizontally. Fill with whipped cream and fresh strawberries.

  • Drizzle with melted dark chocolate.

  • Top with the other pastry half and dust with powdered sugar. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use a serrated knife to slice the hearts for cleaner layers.

  • Can be prepared in advance and assembled just before serving for freshness.

  • Substitute raspberries or blueberries for a twist.
