- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar (plus extra for dusting)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1/4 cup melted chocolate
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut hearts: Roll out puff pastry and cut out heart shapes. Place on the baking sheet and brush with egg wash.
- Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Let cool completely.
- Make the filling: Whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
- Assemble: Slice the pastry hearts in half, spread whipped cream, layer strawberry slices, and top with the other half.
- Decorate: Drizzle with melted chocolate and dust with powdered sugar.
