Description

This Vibrant Chile Lime Sauce bursts with zesty citrus, fresh herbs, and a bold kick of red and green chiles. Perfect as a marinade, dipping sauce, or drizzle for tacos, grilled meats, or veggies—it’s a fresh and fiery flavor bomb


Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh cilantro leaves

  • 2-3 fresh red chili peppers

  • 2-3 fresh green chili peppers

  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice (about 3 limes)

  • 1 small tomato, diced

  • 1 garlic clove, minced

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper


Instructions

  1. Wash herbs and chili peppers. Remove stems and roughly chop the peppers.

  2. In a blender or food processor, combine cilantro, diced tomato, chopped chiles, lime juice, garlic, olive oil, salt, sugar (if using), and black pepper.

  3. Pulse until smooth. Add a little water to adjust consistency if desired.

  4. Taste and adjust seasoning with more salt, lime juice, or sugar.

  5. Pour into a clean jar and store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

  • Use fewer chiles for a milder version or add seeds for extra heat.

  • Great on grilled chicken, tacos, roasted vegetables, or grain bowls.
