For the Whipped Feta
- 8 oz (225 g) feta cheese, crumbled
- 3 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 small garlic clove, minced
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
For the Hot Honey
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes (adjust to heat preference)
- 1/2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
For the Board
- Warm pita bread or sliced baguette
- Assorted crackers
- Fresh strawberries, halved
- Fresh figs or grapes
- Toasted almonds or pistachios
- Fresh thyme or mint for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Hot Honey: In a small saucepan over low heat, warm the honey with red chili flakes for 2–3 minutes (do not boil). Remove from heat and stir in apple cider vinegar. Let cool slightly to infuse.
- Make the Whipped Feta: In a food processor, combine feta, cream cheese, Greek yogurt, olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, garlic, and black pepper. Blend until smooth, creamy, and fluffy. Scrape down sides as needed.
- Assemble the Board: Spread the whipped feta onto a large serving board or shallow plate, creating swoops with the back of a spoon. Drizzle generously with warm hot honey. Sprinkle with toasted nuts and garnish with fresh herbs.
- Arrange the Dippers: Surround the whipped feta with warm pita, crackers, fresh fruits, and extra nuts. Serve immediately.
