Wet Ingredients:
- 1 ripe banana, mashed
- 1/2 cup (125g) creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup (50g) brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Dry Ingredients:
- 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup (45g) chocolate chips or chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mash & Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, mash the banana. Stir in peanut butter, brown sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon (if using).
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Mix & Add Extras: Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until combined. Stir in chocolate chips or chopped nuts if using.
- Scoop & Bake: Scoop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Flatten slightly with a fork.
- Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cookies are lightly golden on the edges.
- Cool & Enjoy: Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
