Description

These Peanut Butter Banana Cookies are soft, chewy, and naturally sweetened with banana! They’re an easy and delicious treat packed with peanut butter flavor and the perfect balance of sweetness!

  • 1 ripe banana, mashed
  • 1/2 cup (125g) creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup (50g) brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Dry Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup (45g) chocolate chips or chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mash & Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, mash the banana. Stir in peanut butter, brown sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon (if using).
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Mix & Add Extras: Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until combined. Stir in chocolate chips or chopped nuts if using.
  5. Scoop & Bake: Scoop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Flatten slightly with a fork.
  6. Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cookies are lightly golden on the edges.
  7. Cool & Enjoy: Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
