Description

Crispy Hot Honey Lime Feta Chicken Breasts with Mediterranean Herb Crust & Fresh Herbs is a flavorful and juicy chicken dish with a crispy coating of breadcrumbs, feta cheese, and herbs, topped with a sweet and tangy hot honey lime sauce. It’s garnished with fresh parsley and cilantro for a burst of freshness.

For the Chicken:

  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese, finely crumbled
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

For the Hot Honey Lime Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 12 tsp hot sauce
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp lime zest

For Garnish:

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Lime wedges

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the chicken breasts horizontally to create thinner cutlets if needed.
  3. Prepare a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and a mixture of breadcrumbs, feta, Parmesan, oregano, basil, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Coat each chicken piece in flour, dip in eggs, then coat with breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Place the coated chicken on the baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
  6. Bake for 22–25 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
  7. In a small saucepan, warm honey with hot sauce, lime juice, and zest until combined.
  8. Drizzle the hot honey lime sauce over the crispy chicken.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley, cilantro, and serve with lime wedges.
