  • 1 cup peeled & diced apples
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Oil for frying

For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 23 tbsp milk
  • Dash of cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. In another bowl, mix egg, milk, and vanilla.
  2. Combine wet and dry ingredients, then fold in apples.
  3. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Drop spoonfuls of batter into hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side.
  4. Drain and dip in cinnamon glaze while warm.
