Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 cup semolina
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tsp cardamom
  • 1 tsp rose water
  • Pinch of salt

For Topping:

  • Chopped pistachios
  • Dried rose petals

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, combine almond flour, semolina, sugar, and salt.
  3. Prepare wet ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together melted butter, eggs, yogurt, cardamom, and rose water.
  4. Combine: Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Pour the batter into a greased 8” pan.
  5. Bake: Bake for 30–35 minutes or until golden and set.
  6. Cool and garnish: Allow the cake to cool slightly, then top with chopped pistachios and dried rose petals.
